Opportunity for buskers to sing in the town

The Bishop Auckland Town Team are holding a ‘Buskers Day’ in Bishop Auckland on Saturday 6th July from 10am till 2:30pm.  Shoppers can enjoy a selection of great talent from local singers who will perform at various locations around the town.

Clive Auld, Chair of the events team said; “We are looking for talented buskers and singers to take part.  There is no need to register, simply turn up in the Market Place at 9:45am. You must be self contained as there is no electricity or PA systems available on the day.  You will be allocated various locations around the town and will perform for around 30 minutes per location.  It’s a great opportunity for local people to show off their talents and maybe make some money!

The town team mascot, ‘Bishop The Boar’ will be making special appearances throughout the day so come along and have your photo taken with him, it’s fun for all the family.
