Crowds enjoy classic cars and BRASS bands

On Sunday 15th July, the Bishop Auckland Town Team held it’s first ever Vintage & Classic Car show in Bishop Auckland Market Place.

The crowds enjoyed a selection of classic cars along with motorbikes and bicycles which were all on display.

In addition were joined by the Big Brass Bus as it tours the region as part of the Totally Brass festival commissioned by Durham County County. For more information visit the  Brass Festival website.

On board the Big Brass Bus were ‘Jazz Royalty’ in the all female Shake Em Up Jazz Band who preformed some great Jazz hits. They formed in 2016 comprising an all-female cast of outstanding traditional jazz musicians from New Orleans. They have been delighting audiences in the US and overseas ever since.

Also performing were ‘Back Chat Brass’. These lads have quickly established themselves as one of the UK’s leading street bands with their own take on popular songs combined with a few of their own compositions.
