Christmas in Bishop Auckland

It all begins with the Bishop Auckland Town Council event in the Market Place on Friday 23rd November from 4pm till 9pm.

There’s a variety of activities and entertainment including the arrival of Santa to switch on the tree lights.

The popular Full Moon Street Food Market will be part of the event, offering a selection of street food vendors and drink vendors. Ideal for all ages, bring the family, call in with colleagues after work, start a night out here, or pop by for a take away!

There will be children’s rides along with The Gaunless Gateway Big Purple Play Bus.

Advent Windows

Following on from the huge success of Advent Windows last year, Bishop Auckland Town Centre will once again be transformed into a giant Advent calendar.

Santa and Christmas Entertainment

Once again the Bishop Auckland Town Team are bringing Santa back to town on the 8th, 15th and 22nd December.

It’s Free to see Santa and from just a £1 you can have a 6×4′ photo.

There will be some festive stilt-walkers, music from the Sound Waves Community Choir, vocalists Steven Berry and Charlotte Forman and the Bishop Auckland Salvation Army.
