Classic and vintage buses including United, OK Motor Services, The Eden and Lockeys took over Bishop Auckland Market Place and the North Bondgate Car Park on Sunday 28th July.
The Bishop Auckland Town Team in partnership with the North East Bus Preservation Trust held it’s first ‘Buses Thru The Ages’ event.
Clive Auld, Chair of the Events Team said; “It’s been another successful event and some of the vintage open top buses took members of the public on tours of the town. The Market Place was once the bus station in the past, so it was great to see all the different types of buses again driving around.”
Peter Elliott added; “I was delighted how well received the event was from both the bus drivers, enthusiasts and the members of public. We look forward to helping organise this event again next year.”
The Gaunless Gateway Big Purple Play Bus was also part of the event for the children to enjoy and local singer Jenna Highfield sung some classic songs.
