Bishop Auckland Masterplan update

Ryder Architecture consultants, in partnership with Durham County Council, and overseen by the Brighter Bishop Auckland Partnership Board, have prepared a town centre masterplan for Bishop Auckland to capitalise on the opportunity presented by current and emerging developments.

The vision is for an ambitious long-term strategic framework for the town centre based on a deliverable masterplan which balances the needs of residents, businesses, visitors and investors.

The final image in the executive summary gives an overview of the key moves for the town centre, illustrated using examples from other successful places.
