After last year’s successful first Advent Windows, Bishop Auckland Town Team are once again organising the window openings alongside David and Pam Pott.
A team of eight storytellers have started to prepare 24 Christmas stories from around the world which will be told when Bishop Auckland’s Advent Windows open up in shops around the town between December 1st and 24th.
Last Saturday, the storytellers had a day of training with experienced storyteller Pam Pott at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church. They will be ready to go into schools in October to help prepare schools and other organisations with their stories.
They are on the look out for window openers from the following countries whose Christmas stories will be told: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Holland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Palestine, Peru, Turkey, USA and Wales.
They will also be available to share their stories at other community events in December.
To book the storytellers or to let the team know about a possible window opener please contact David Pott on 07932 790525 or email badventwindows@gmail.com.
